Uncleaned coins from the Balkan region (Bulgaria, Yugoslavia and neighbouring countries). Most will date from the late 3rd century through the late 4th. Roman coins found in this region tend to have a good mix of eastern Roman mints, particularly Constantinople, Siscia and Thessalonica. These coins when properly restored will generally reveal enough detail to allow identification. Sizes range from about a dime to a penny. $2.50 per coin.

As above but higher grade. These coins have a higher chance of cleaning up to reveal more detail than the regular uncleaned coins because some of that detail is already peeking through the dirt. The downside? Less chances of finding rare emperors because the metal detectorists who recover them have already had a peek. Most will therefore end up being of the Constantinian and Valentinian dynasties of the fourth century AD. $5.00 per coin.

Balkan-region Late Roman bronze coins already cleaned and ready to display. Most coins will rate VG-VF graded by wear and date from about 250 through the early 400's. Dates and reigns our choice but multiple orders will receive different rulers.$7.50 each

These are small Roman coins of the late fourth and fifth centuries the size of a pencil eraser. These miniscule coins were the last commercial bulwark before the dark ages set in after the fall of Rome. They are difficult to clean and challenging to attribute with many cleaning up to have very little detail left. The upside? Fifth century coins abound in rare and "exotic" emperors whose coins are highly prized by collectors because of their rarity and the haunting, bizarre and crude style of the engraving style prevalent during this time period. Sold in sets of 25. $40
